Fenix 7 firmware

Hi,

my fenix 7 has firmware version 5.35.
I'm quite certain I read in other places that people upgraded to version 7.20 ... however, I cannot find a way to upgrade, garmin express insists that v5.35 is the latest and greatest.
Connect app the watch itself aren't helping either.

Does anyone here have a suggestions that might help?

You will need to connect to your computer and use Garmin Express. I had a similar issue and that solved the firmware upgrade problem.

Had the same issue. You need to manually synchronize your watch via WI-FI Connection. Then it should find the update in the update-section of the watch,

No idea why you are getting down voted, I was also unable to update with just the watch or mobile App. Only using Garmin Express on the computer worked.

Is you watch APAC? I am not sure if the F7 is running a separate FW stream for the APAC devices like other devices. Someone else might know??

It took quite a number of attempts with Garmin express until the update to v7.20 worked. Actually I didn’t do anything different I have just been repeating the update procedure x times until finally Garmin Express found v7.20 and eventually allowed to update.

I bought my F7 sapphire solar on Saturday (in The Netherlands) and apparently it is on FW 6.57.

The watch says it is up to date. Then tried WIFI and finally garmin express. All are saying the watch FW is up to date. What else can I try?

FWIW, after adding the watch in Garmin express, maybe an hour later I suddenly got the message on the watch that new FW is available, version 7.24.
