I know Fenix maps based on OSM maps but Garmin has removed some details on it inorder to run properly on the watch screen.
Does anyone tested full "unsimplified" version OSM maps on Fenix 7 ?
Like the one on the screenshot?
Is it run well?

I have opentopomap (https://garmin.opentopomap.org/) on my fenix 7x on high details (in the watch settings) and it works ok. The load time is a bit slower but still usable nicely. Deactivating (in the watch) other maps which have the same coverage makes it a bit better again.
Why it's black and white?
For me, it is not black and white, but be aware as it is a topo map, and it uses colors to indicate different terrain. So if you are in a city, it's mostly gray. Woods would be green, glacies blueish ....
