I like the standard Stamina screen:
But, I also added the other available Stamina data fields on an additional screen along with Running Power (HRM-PRO) and Performance Condition:
EDIT: Added screenshots…
yes there is, small story with my wife.
She is recovering from illness, and she is a beginner runner in overweight.
She had a 6s since release, and started to use the 7s with stamina :
- she was able to…
And it needs 4-6 weeks to calibrate if you don't have stabilized VO2max estimation
Limited usage so far, but it "feels" reasonable. I'm at the midway point of a Marathon plan. Did a "half marathon" at race pace / HR. Was "slightly" ahead of my race pace, with limited fueling / hydration, and Fenix 7 said I had 45% remaining at the end of my run. That's pretty spot on as I never crossed threshold HR, but also haven't hit my 18-20+ mile runs yet.
I think it is an interesting new way to look a your current state. Below is a screenshot of a recent sprint workout from a daily suggested workout.
Top plot is the pace and bottom plot is the Stamina. What is missing is the real time feedback on the watch. I could seem my "Actual Stamina" value decrease during the sprints and increase during the rest phase. Cool stuff.
I still haven't had a chance to try it yet, but I'm intrigued.
Wondering if anyone could post some screenshots of how they have their stamina data laid out on their activity? Did you just use the default Stamina datascreen, or build your own using the available individual stamina datafields? Someone on youtube said the default stamina datascreen leaves out a lot of useful info, and recommended constructing your own, but I've been struggling to figure out what the best layout is and which fields it should have. I have a 7x (room for up to 8 fields)

If I weaken during a marathon or ultra due to inadequate carbohydrate nutrition and then eat an energy bar or two, will Stamina recognize it?
not at all, as far as I see it, it's more the equivalent of a w'bal for power , and that adjust depending on how far you are under/below threshold.
so if you are under performing (injuries, lack of proper hydration/nutrition), stamina will be unaffected, same thing if you eat, it's only your earth rate that will drive it.
It may also use hrv for detecting threshold, but if it's the case, then a strap is mandatory for best results.
Everywhere I read people feel the stamina function to be about right. Dcrainmaker, for instance says it’s spot on with his own feeling.
But that’s exactly the problem with this feature. People already know how they feel. Are there really people out there that need a watch to confirm their feelings?

She had a 6s since release, and started to use the 7s with stamina :
- she was able to run her longest run : 13km, which is a feat for her, and still feel good after.
- she was sure it would not have been possible, and she confirmed the feeling, more km left in the tank.
it give confidence to her, likely this won't be used for long until she is able to proceed by feeling, but for a leap of faith of a new runner with enough data feed, this is relevant.
I'll tell it on a long race this weekend, something around 10 hours, and I'll share it if was spot on, or if I fail ;)
good to confront my feelings, and what there is on screen !
I'm so curious how this will work for me, having a neuromuscular condition that limits my ability to run; sometimes a bit and sometimes an awful lot.
if I'm correct, in your case (correct me I'm wrong) :
- due to your neuromuscular condition, you may not be able to reach your threshold (ie, roughtly the point at which your o2 intake is lower than your o2 needs).
- this means to me that the current stamina, won't be able to go down, as you can't physiologically reach the point that deplete it.
- if it deplete, it means that the threshold detection was abused by your condition, and that it isn't occurate (and I would say in dps, garbage in, garbage out..), it may mimic a correct behavior, but it won't be that much
- about the potential stamina, I guess this one would behave properly, as if I undertand it well, it will use your training history.
take this not with a pinch of salt, but the whole salt mine if you see what I mean
hope that helps a bit to see ;)
