Update Watch Face via Connect App?

So I just got my Fenix 7 (upgraded from a Forerunner 235). The watch is updated to software version 7.2. When I go the connect app on iOS, select the Fenix 7, click on Appearance, and then Watch Face it says "Update Setting on Device. This setting is only available on your fenix 7 Sapphire Solar". I can go into the Glances and Controls, but not Watch Face. What am I doing wrong?

I don’t want a customized face from IQ, I just want to edit the watch face in the connect app. Is this possible?

Long Press the middle left button, and you'll get a menu where the fir thing is Watch Face.

Select that, then up/down to the watch face, then press the upper right button and pick customize.

It is currently not possible to edit the watch face in the Connect App. Only directly on the clock.

Does anyone know when you’ll be able to get more than just the garmin faces? Seems like a pretty big set back from the 6

You can download watch faces from Connect IQ website: https://apps.garmin.com/it-IT/ or directly from Connect IQ App too.

watchface settings can be modified directly from your phone with the Connect IQ, selecting My device, bottom right icon. (almost on Android)
