Best would be to have this as a toggle, similar to buttons. Would like to have this disabled during daytime and enabled after sunset.
It would be great if Garmin uses the Solar as a light meter and only toggles backlight if its in the dark.
Yes I agree, there should be a setting to disable the backlight when using touch.
Completely cover the watch face with the palm of your hand.
Yes, it is also possible to switch it off with the light button, but I was expecting a solution that disables it and not having backlight igniting each time.
Assuming it's a bug/omission in the release firmware, that causes the touchscreen backlight to ignore the global backlight settings on the watch. It's already been reported to Garmin, hopefully next firmware addresses it.
Experiencing the same, Backlight occure with every touch. Not possible to set it off.
How do I report bugs to Garmin? I want to report something but don't know how.
This bug is still present in 7.2. I was thinking it was fixed in this version. How didn't they be able to spot it?
Hello.
Indeed, in backlight option you only can configure it at 5%. No way to disable it - except eco mode!
An evolution would be interesting
I would prefer to have a switch that controls, if the backlight-on-when-touching happens always or following sunset-times since I like that functionality very much as it is, because I use it frequently when inside a darker room at daytime.
I don‘t consider this as a bug and I would not like to have this removed in general.
