Can someone check is fenix 7 working with basecamp?
Thanks!
I've the same trouble on a Mac. I can't find the Fenix 7X in basecamp. Works fine with Garmin Express so I know the connection to the computer has been established.
Confirmed, both version 4.8.11 and 4.8.12 of Mac BaseCamp do not see the Fenix 7 or the maps on it, works fine in Windows BaseCamp... Garmin, please fix this issue!
For Windows or Mac? What issue are you seeing (bear in mind that the pre-loaded maps have to be initialised in BaseCamp before they will work in it). This initialisation can take hours to complete, and if you disturb/stop it the map (in Basecamp) may report it is damaged/not valid, etc.
Connected my f7X and can seemingly do anything I've done in the past with my f6. Create/remove waypoints; create routes/tracks. Seems normal.
EDIT: Windows 10
Same for me. Everything was fine with my F6X but now BaseCamp don't display F7X on my Mac??!!??

So I've had a weird experience with F7 and Basecamp. I'm on my 3rd Fenix 7X now, here's been my experiences:

AFAIK Basecamp is being deprecated in favor of Explore. That’s possibly why there’s no connection to the F7, at least on the Mac. Annoying because the Explore maps lack detail for New Zealand that I have on the topo maps I’ve loaded into Basecamp.
Is there information to support what you are saying? I use Basecamp to transfer trails, etc. to my 6x Pro and would like to know what Garmin's path forward would be. Explore doesn't have near the functionality as Basecamp.
IIRC there was a post to this effect in the Basecamp forum somewhere. If there wasn't then it's clearly something I've just dreamed up.
It would be sad if the Garmin strategy was to REDUCE our functionality for transferring maps, trails, other data from what we have in Basecamp to what is available in Explore.
