Are you switching off you Fenix each night ?

Hi,

I am always switching off my Fenix at night, my tought is that if I can prevent my battery to drain during 7 hours, its life will be improved. Are you letting your watch always on or swithcing it off every day ?

It should have been great to have a "save mode" like on Suunto Ambit 2 entering in a save mode when not moved during 30 minutes, it could improve battery life by limiting draining.

Deep discharge damages Li-Ion and Li-Pol batteries. Although 0% in the watch does not mean 0% on the battery, it is still not good for longevity.

It seems very ridiculous to buy a watch for 1000 euros and turn them off for the night. Both the heart rate sensor and the oximeter during the day and bluetooth must be switched off. Then you only need…

You can protect the battery by not discharging it to 0%. you start charging when it is 20%. Ideally have 20% - 80%.

I don't like to sleep with a watch. I have never tried sleep analysis, I always tought it was a gadget, may be I should give it a try.

Thanks for tips, I tought always I had to empty completely the battery before charging it.
