So this new fenix 7 (or fenix 6+?) does it have more ram? So you can have more data fields? Is the third party watch faces still laggy? Does it have a more powerful cpu?
I feel this should been called the fenix 6+, but I guess they learned from Apple with they’re iPhone 13 instead of 12S so people are fooled to buy a new device.
With CIQ 4.x, There is a graphics pool where things like custom fonts and bitmaps aren't loaded in an apps memory, which is why things like the max size of a watch face can be smaller.
We can't know without disassembling one. Garmin Epix and Fenix 5X had 32 MB RAM chips, while Fenix 6X Pro had 16 MB. However, mapping experience was better on F6X, memory amount doesn't always translate…
Will it work the old apps that way, or do we need to update them? I haven't updated most of my apps for a long time. :)
