Will it look enormous on my small wrist?
Is it stable when running?

It's a matter of preference. I also have a 17cm wrist, and here's how the 7X looks.
Only issue I have with the size is some of my work shirts are a bit too narrow for it, which is why I wouldnt mind if the 7X was slimmer (something I likd moving from the 5X Plus to the 6X was the slightly smaller footprint)
