Gold colours for small sizes? Really Garmin?

It's my assumption that their marketing department found these colors were the most popular amongst woman who would be the largest group buying this size.  Just a guess on my part. 

I suppose they did. I'm a woman, and I find these so terribly clicheed. I mean sorry, 3 different types of gold! Add some silver if you must.

I'm guessing that they limited the color options for the initial production run, and they'll probably add some additional options later.

I ask myself that too, but I think it's a purely economic calculation.
There will certainly be studies that make clear that most ladies like gold, white and purple.
And most men with thin arms buy (no matter if it looks unaesthetic) rather a bigger watch, because they feel cooler with it or they just want to have the best and biggest. just such a "man thing". Many men also buy a car that is way too big.  You know what I mean ;)
I am a normal built man with narrower forearms and also prefer the S version because only this looks aesthetically. But I think that is not typical. And of course i like it in black.
But I know no one else in my male runner circle with a S version.

I'd love to get a medium size for better battery life, but most women clothes are so badly cut that it would simply not fit underneath my jumpers or jackets. And that sucks. Hey, even the S is too big for most clothes. Oh well.. But yeah, I like the black, but it's so in your face black.

Yes, I agree with you.
I am honest and find watches in lighter colors on ladies arms look better.
This is certainly cliché and also just my taste.
