Too many system notifications (iOS 15.1)

Hello; I am receiving more smart notifications that configured. My watch (7X Sapphire Solar) and Garmin app both show calls only (during an activity and off), however, I receive other system notification from my iPhone (iOS 15.1) as well, such as iPhone application notifications, Health Center notifications, etc, which shouldn't happen. I only want to receive calls and nothing more. I want to keep al the extra notifications displayed on my phone only, not on my watch.

Any ideas?

Thank you C.sco, I appreciate it! I saw the post but unfortunately it doesn't solve the issue. Notifications are coming out of the phone to the Garmin okay, they are just too many. Disabling notifications on the iPhone would disable all notifications, on the phone and Watch. I was trying to be in the middle, have all notifications displayed on the iPhone, but only calls go through to the watch. I haven't found a solution for this, and the settings I currently have (calls only) should restrict appropriately, but they don't. Same settings on my previous F935 worked as designed.

Thanks for your help and please let me know if you have any other thoughts.

Hopefully someone else with IOS can chime in, then. I'm not really familiar because I use Android, which has the ability to easily toggle watch notifications on/off for individual apps using the Connect app, but I know IOS is a bit different.

I have an Epix and have the same issue. They asked me to reboot phone and watch and then try. Didn't work for me.

Go to settings. Notifications. Smart notifications. General use and /or during activity. Then you have option to toggle tone vibe or off for calls, texts and apps individually.

I’ve the same issue, settings are identical to my 6Pro. General use set to calls, texts and apps, and during activity is set to calls only, yet I am getting all my app notifications on the watch still during my activity. Something isn’t right.

Thanks Rash! Yeah, I rebooted watch and phone and it didn’t solve the issue. Bummers, I guess we’ll have to wait.

Thanks! You’re correct, all my settings are set to calls only, however, application notification (like the Weather Channel, CNN, etc) are still coming through on my watch. Messages are not, which is correct. It’s just weird.

Thanks Big Red. I agree, something is not right. I had the same settings on my F935 and it worked fine. On the 7x it doesn’t; the only thing that changed is the watch/software version; phone and phone configurations stayed the same. Hopefully it’s a software bug with an easy fix in the future.
