Only 2 IQ data fields in Fenix 7x

Is that new software basis released yet? 

SDK 4, was released end of last year.

That doesn't necessarily mean it's on the watch already. I would expect Garmin to make an announcement about the changes/improvements.

Yes, the API Level for F7 and EPIX2 is 4.0.0

I've checked my F7x; software version 7.20, CIQ version 4.0.6

So it can already run apps while recording an activity? That's one of the new features. Main reason for me to upgrade.

It also says that widgets will be some sort of app then, so I'm wondering if it has full support in the firmware yet.

I was also hoping that this limit of 2 custom data fields would be extended. But sadly it seems not. :/

But the available memory for ciq data field were doubled to 256K for F7X.

Even if they only increased the limit to 3, it would be a game changer for a lot of people. By the time you add a power field and one other one, it's maxed out. Getting to add a 3rd one (or *gasp* a 4th one??) would be huge.

I don't really even like using CIQ datafields (I worry that they'll make the watch unstable), and even I tend to quickly max out the 2 datafield limit. Can't imagine what it's like for people who are way into CIQ datafields.

Yes, I have tested it. Two max.
