So... which Fenix 7 did you buy?

Hello fellow Fenix 6 forum alumni, and newcomers alike!

Which Fenix 7 did you end up deciding on? What made you pick it?

I picked the 7X Solar Sapphire, in Carbon Gray DLC. I couldn't decide between that or black, because I could honestly not really tell the difference in the pictures, and I had to pick something, so I picked Carbon Gray purely because I *think* it most closely resembles the 6X Sapphire DLC look? I guess we'll find out.

My reason for picking the 7X Solar Sapphire is pretty simple - I want it ALL Every other model leaves something on the table feature-wise, and I didn't want to make any sacrifices. And coming from the 6X, I know it'll fit my wrist just fine.

I ordered the 7X solar Sapphire in Carbon Gray DLC with Titanium band. I think you were right taking the Carbon Gray because if one day you want to put a metal band like the Garmin Titanium, it will be a liitle bit more in harmony, even if it will be also good with black. I found the gray more qualitative...

As I posted in your thread in the F6 forum I ordered the standand silver Fenix 7.

But after finding out it didn't have dual band GNSS and with non of the new features offering much of interest over my 6 Titanium Sapphire I ended up cancelling my order with Garmin UK.

May reconsider at some stage but I'm good with what I have for the while.

I still find it really odd that they did that. Thankfully I had been planning to get a sapphire anyways, even before I knew about all the other differences besides just the lens. But I can see why it's disappointing to those who didn't really want sapphire.

You found it locally then? Lucky you! I'm going to head out in a few hours and see if I can find one locally, too. Even though I already ordered one. I'm impatient lol

Enjoy! I love Greece by the way, it's my favorite europe destination. One of the first hikes I ever took my Fenix 6 on was Mount Parnitha. (I live in US)

I ended up getting the Epix 2 and cheating on my long standing Fenix history. Battery life is nearly as good too so hopefully ends up being a good move.

Strangely I think the sapphire on the Epix would be preferable to me as I think the brighter screen would 'burn' through the lower visibility and reflections.

So oddly as I find myself saying this if I had go sapphire, Epix might work for me. That silver titanium with white band looks lovely...!

I picked up the 7x in black. I’ve had every model back till the 3rd in carbon figured I would switch it up. Also got my shipping notification says it could be here Thursday!
