Goodbye, Fenix 6 forum...

It's been a fun two and a half years, but it's time to move on to greener pastures... Hopefully I'll see you all tomorrow, in a fresh new Garmin subforum ;)

While I await the return of my 6X that I sent in for replacement last weekend, I'm watch-less until I either get it back, or I get my hands on the "latest and greatest", whichever comes first.

Well... I caved and just ordered the Epix Sapphire - Black Titanium.

What can I say? My curiosity about the quality of the AMOLED display behind a Sapphire crystal finally pushed me over the edge. Also…

Several years ago I broke my shoulder in Las Vegas on the way up to Zion / Bryce etc - even with my travel insurance I was sent on my way with painkillers wherees in the UK it would have been pinned and operated on.

So yeah, I guess we have it better here for that :)

Woah - that is new information - I am pretty sure my UK order mentioned multi GNSS.....certainly I can see multi GNSS mentioned right now if I scroll down from the following selection?

Multi GNSS is different from mutliband GNSS. Multi-GNSS means it can do GPS, galileo, glonass (same as Fenix 6). Multiband means it can receive 2 (or more?) frequencies from each satellite, which helps improve accuracy by reducing errors

***..it didn't even occur to me they would differentiate on this...

Looks like an order cancellation coming up! I really don't want Sapphire again - you sorta get used to the reflective screen..until you pick up a Gorlla glass version and it's night and day how much nicer the non-sapphire screen is. And I have no use for solar as I am here at 6:30 AM and it's still dark and I've already done my run in the dark...

This is a bummer.

The same here. I really don't want another sapphire glass watch. The weather is often cloudy or rainy here and a sapphire glass display with it's lower contrast and reflections is difficult to read sometimes.

I really don't want to have a choice of either good GPS accuracy or good screen readability, but not both at the same time. Is anyone from Garmin reading this?

And only the sapphire ones have 32gb storage (may be important for some people, too).

Knowing all the differences spotted so far with non Sapphire version ? ;-)

(So far I will continue with the good old Fenix 6 Pro Sapphire Silver Titanium which is still running perfectly since August 2019.)
I normally an early adopter but the difference between 6 and 7 is not enough for upgrading. Also I love the patina I got in my old 6 Titanium. Also I got than incredible Full DLC Titanium G-Shock on double wristing but I will follow your adventures with the new generation !)
