  • As far as I’m concerned, the solution has been to always use a HR strap for recording activities.

The issue is about 24/7 HR datas not about HR during activities. So do you suggest to wear a HR strap 24/7?

The HR during activities is very good for a lot of people. The problem is another one...

Anyway, I agree with you that probably they have not a solution yet. But they have to find it and is important that all test and report this bug.

  • Is the issue with:

Navigate/Points of Interest/Food and Drink (or any option) and choose selection. Crashes and Restarts

Resolved in this version? This was the issue in the 6.72 (I think) beta.

  • I am personally not troubled by the OHR outside an activity issue. TBH I haven't noticed it, but only because I only look at my heart rate when I am resting or in an activity.

And I don't want to contribute to cluttering up another thread with OHR compaints.

However, I think it is really disingenuous for Garmin to post another full release and not at least say something about the issue.

I think everybody here would be greatly encouraged if Garmin would at least acknowledge that it is an issue and tell people that they are working on it.

But to be utterly silent on the issue ... to give the impression that they are either unaware of the problem or do not consider it to be a problem ... that is kind of unforgivable.

Garmin does a lot of things right. This isn't one of them.

  • I stand corrected. HR tracking outsiders of an activity is still very unsatisfactory.

  • Does this beta fix the volume control issues experienced with Powerbeats Pro?

  • not for all. not for me. I don't have any hr recording issues. The watch is fantastic.

Thanks Garmin for the new update!

  • Compared to what? How do you know it’s accurate?
If you do steady effort exercise it’ll be ok so a lot of users may not notice it.

  • You will also notice it on steady efforts, when you make a break of several minutes. And you will notice it, when you activate "Send heartrate" to any other device (in my case a Garmin 830). After a short break heartrate is way too low for a couple of minutes.

  • I checked on the tread mill several times.

I also take my pulse manually during and outside exercise

My graphs are also good. I don't experience any big drops or peaks.

I just run half marathon and  the heart rate was good responding as expected.

I m sure the strap would do even better as Garmin recommend but for the time being i stick with the watch only.

Also i am wearing the 6s not the fenix 6 or 6x which are in my opinion too big too and heavy to record whr appropriately.

This is also confirmed by many specialised website and blog such as dc rainmaker.

Many fenix 6 users are very satisfied with the watch.  That's the fact.

You guys have the right to voice your issues but please don t fight people who are happy with the watch.

  • Also i am wearing the 6s not the fenix 6 or 6x which are in my opinion too big too and heavy to record whr appropriately.

If we are talking about outside activity HR monitoring, can you please explain how is Fenix 6X affected by it's size and weight only when activity profile is not started? Does pressing "Start" button twice magically reduce it's size and weight and OHR reading is not affected?

If we are talking about in activity accuracy, for example hiking with "Hiking" profile (bad OHR data), does changing profile to "Cardio" (good OHR data) change size or weight of the watch?

In both cases your argument is completely invalid.

This is also confirmed by many specialised website and blog such as dc rainmaker.

So you are claiming that many specialized websites and blogs came to conclusion that F6X is too big and too heavy to monitor HR outside activity, but not during activity (first case).

Or it is too big to monitor HR during hiking, but it is ok to monitor HR during hiking if using "Cardio" activity profile...

You guys have the right to voice your issues but please don t fight people who are happy with the watch.

This is not fighting, just pointing out your lack of understanding of the problem.
