Update 11.28 Missing Morning Report or Connect IQ says to Update Software

Hello,

I got new Epix 2 Sapphire watch 2 weeks ago (my first Garmin device). It got instantly updated to v11.28. However, I'm missing 2 features I keep reading on the internet that should be available in v11.28:

  1. Morning Report - there's no way to activate/edit this feature, not in watch nor connect app
  2. Jetlag advisor - completely missing

Is there a way to solve this? I joined beta program but I'm not getting any updates, tried also Garmin Express on PC. I'm in EU, watch purchased in EU

    Have you configured you sleep window in the system settings on watch. I think this is needed for morning report to work. It should start to show up 1 hour before your defined sleep window ends

    For the jet-lag, it is a built in widget that you need to add. Browse your widgets and press the plus sign to add a new widget, browse to the one you want to add and add it. I’ll hope this info helps

    Thank you for reply.

    I do have my sleep window defined, yet I haven't seen any morning report for last 2 weeks.

    For jetlag, I don't have that kind of widget. I can't also plan any trip to activate the jetlag advisor.

    I might found the cause: my watch says I have v11.28, but Garmin Express and Garmin Connect Web say I have v8.45...I don't know how that's possible even

    My mistake, I forgot you had to enable it under appearance. See instructions here https://support.garmin.com/en-US/?faq=6LL2ZOEJry3z69WKK9Ymd9

    Browse your glances my press the down key until you get to “Edit” at the bottom, select it,

    Then browse glances not yet added by press the down key until you get to “Add” at the bottom, select it,

    then browse glances until find “jet lag advisor” press the plus sign on top right corner to add it

    Nope, it's just not there, I understand what you're saying

    I'm having the same problem as described here Different software on Epix than Garmin Express : GarminWatches (reddit.com)

    However, I don't know how to download Alpha SW from Garmin forums (there are no links)

    There are no new alpha/betas at the moment.

    Have you checked Settings, System, About, to confirm the software version you have installed?

    Have you checked Settings, System, Software, to see if the software is waiting to be installed?

    I managed to solve the problems. 

    So before, my watch was showing I have version 11.28 (it got installed week ago). Connect web and app were both showing version 8.45. Actual SW was 8.45, as there were many latest features missing...

    I forced/reverted the SW manually back to version 7.xx using link in this post: (+) Epix 2 - software version 8.18 - Release Candidate - Epix (Gen 2) - Wearables - Garmin Forums (the only download zip I could find)

    After installing 7.xx, it offered update to 11.28. This time, the update took much longer than week ago, and looked to be more complete - showing changelog, new features etc, which I haven't seen when updating to 11.28 week ago.

    So, I'm now finally running real v11.28 (says my watch, Connect web and app), and I have many new/latest features, including jetlag advisor.

    No idea what went wrong before though.

    For anyone that comes across this thread. If you are missing any v11.28 features on your watch or Connect IQ gives you the message that your software is not updated, please highlight my name and send me a Private Message. I will work with you directly to fix your issue.
