Garmin Express v7.13 Deleting .FIT Files (NOW FIXED)

After my watch was updated to version 8.21 today, I noted my "Last Activity" Gesture shows an activity from April 27th. I have daily activities since then including a 3 hour mtb ride today. I restarted the watch and also re-synched on my computer/Garmin Express with same results. Garmin Connect still shows all my activities but for some reason the software update wiped out all my activities on the Epix 2 after April 27th.

This issue is now resolved. Garmin Express version 7.13.1 and newer are fixed versions.

I always sync via PC using Garmin Express! This could be precisely this given the last user test forums.garmin.com/.../garmin-express-7-13-deleting -activities / 1421878 # 1421878

Just chiming in to say I'm having this issue as well. My most recent activity (including History) is from April 21st.

All present on mine...i have also the latest activities from Sunday and Monday.

Did the persons that have the issue updated through Garmin express? Or are using regularly Garmin express?

Just for reference, my epix on 8.21 is not missing any activities including runs, walks, breathwork and treadmill going back to December 1.

Kind of interesting.. did an activity this morning and it showed up in the history and latest activity area. Sometime between then and now it has disappeared. In that time I synced the mobile app (Android) a handful of times and connected to the computer. Garmin for PC updated a few days ago I wonder if that has anything to do with it.

Edit: was typing this as Jwire replied I definitely think that's the issue

Jwire S4... That's got to be part of it. I replied to that thread also. Luckily, I synced my latest activity before I plugged into the pc to charge and check for updates.

Thanks for finding that out. That's exactly what happened to me yesterday.

Hopefully they will fix Garmin Express shortly...

same here - all reflected correctly.

As a side note my update was 7.35 -> 8.18 -> 8.21. Perhaps the issue is due to prior Beta versions?

I have a curiosity...why people sync with Garmin Express? What's the advantage? Never used it so maybe i'm missing something.
