Enduro 2 problem (maybe user error)

I finally pulled the trigger on an enduro 2, but I cant seem to get the calendar to sync.

I go to run > hold the menu button > select training > training calendar

Get the message "Download your training calendar from Garmin Connect https://vlc.onl"

Watch is registered to my account and connected to the phone as main activity tracker though I do still have my old device registered too.

I used once the training feature and if I remember correctly the following should be followed. In Garmin Connect web select the training plan you want then sync your watch and repeat the steps indicated in your post.
