Descent mk3i sudden reboot (3x) during run activity

Today I did a long run using my descent mk3i to track my run. After about 1h30m the watch started to beep out of nothing and after 5 beeps it rebooted itself suddenly. It did this 3 times in a row. I was surprised my activity was still continuing after this, but I did lose almost 2km of tracking as I did keep running.
It was quite a hot day about 30 degees C and the watch was in the full sun. After the third reboot I threw some water on it to cool it down a bit. It didnt feel hot though, a little bit warm maybe.
I have been using the watch to track my runs quite a lot, and this never happened before. I did update to software version 22.07 this week.
Normally I would not worry about this kind of stuff, but if this would happen during a dive that would be messes up!

Questions:
Could the watch be overheating?
Could the new sw version cause this?
Are there any logs i can retrieve to analyse?

    This is what Garmin requested me to do:

        If you are able to, our engineers would like to collect the crash reports from the watch with these steps.

        Press and Hold Menu
        Scroll down to and select System
        Scroll down to and select About
        Press and Release Light button multiple times until Force Crash appear
        Scroll down to and select Save RAM Region
        Save RAM Region will ensure that the crash data stored in watch memory is written to the RAM.txt file in Debug folder.
        The next time device reboots or crashes, follow the above steps to Save RAM Region.

    And then you connect the watch to your computer and the log is supposed to be there.

    Update: I have not had this issue anymore, seems to have resolved itself.

    I updated my descent mk3i to software 22.11 on 3-oct (2 days ago). Today did my first run after the update, and my watch crashed / auto rebooted after about 12km in. I followed the procedure to save the RAM.txt file. Can you send me a link so I can transmit it to Garmin for analysis? This issue should really be fixed, 2 times after an update now that I have this issue.

    FYI, it did not happen any more since previously until today.

    I was on a multi day hike in early September and the watch crashed on the first day but not after that (12 days between 15 and 30km).

    However I also locked the buttons after the first day because my shirt's sleeve pressed random buttons - pausing the activity or creating waypoints.

    Not sure when I installed a new firmware before the hike.
