Charging port on Garmin mk3 defect. 13 month old, possible warranty claim?

My Descent Mk3 watch is 13 months old and unfortunately, the charging port stopped working yesterday. Since it's just outside the standard warranty period, I’d like to ask:

Is there an option for out-of-warranty repair or replacement for this specific issue? Or is there some extra coverage for that part. That's very bad that the charging port stopped working.
