There’s a lot of people frustrated that the F7 lineup isn’t getting the software features that the F8 has. I believe there’s a reason for this, because the F8 is almost like a whole new operating system. The code was rewritten and I believe because of this is the reason why the F7 series isn’t getting any of the new software features like in the past….its just not compatible.
And source for this that the code was rewritten? I've seen this claim made, but have not seen any proof. Refreshing UI doesn't mean that the underlying code would have been rewritten.
