Descent mk3i depth sensor failure

After charging my Descent MK3i yesterday I got the "Do not dive. Failed to read depth sensor" error message after disconnecting the usb cable. A hard reset and a forced reinstall of the software did not help.

I already reached out to Garmin support, but I was wondering if anyone else has had this error with the mk3? Mostly because I have some hope that it might be software related.

Just got this today randomly while running.

Looks like it killed the function of all sensors as well. I've lost WHR, PulseOX, Steps, Compass, etc.

Did a hard reset, and reset all settings and data as well. Did not fix issue.

Tired to force install update via WebUpdater, but get an error that the device does not have the necessary capabilities.

Did you get a fix from Garmin support?

Pretty sure mine only lost the depth sensor, so seems like yours is even more broken than mine was.

After some emails with Garmin verifying the error and firmware version they concluded it was hardware related and exchanged my watch.
