Descent Mk3i won’t turn on

Hi Garminers,

I’m just struggle upon the following issue. I was using my watch as normal since I updated it to 17.29. Issue occured after I turned off my watch on a regular basis before I go to sleep then It wont turned on at the morning, when I put it back to charge the device seems completely dead. No screen loading when plugged to power source, no battery charging indication, no response when pressing any of the buttons combination, It just completely dead. As far as I remember battery level is about the 20days remaining.

I had tried the following actions:

- Cleaned the connectors on the device and charging dock.

- Tried different charging sources (computer, wall socket, portable charger such as power bank).

- Used different charge cables.

Any suggestions from anyone who might had experienced this.

I am sorry to hear this is not working. In addition to the steps you have tried, I would also recommend trying a factory reset, while connected to power.
1. Ensure the watch is powered off…

Ensure the watch is powered off.
- You may need to hold LIGHTfor up to 30 seconds to turn the watch off.
Press and hold BACK and START/STOP.
Press LIGHT to power the watch on while holding these two buttons.
After the first beep release START/STOP.
After the second beep release the remaining button.

If there is no change, this will likely need to be replaced. For this, I would recommend contacting Garmin product support.

It did not go well.

So, this is what it means to pay tons of money for a dive computer and being disgraced while on a dive trip...

I am out of words.
