Auto-starting of dives and swimming

But you have to remember to do it every day. Really annoying. Tried to have Garmin to implement a smarter handling of the automatic dive start, but they do not listen to that…:-(

I use pool mode.  However, while the dive doesn’t appear in the log, it does increment your total dive count. Sort of defeats the purpose of pool mode …. Does anyone have a fix / solution for this?  Am I doing something wrong?

You can actually start any activity to be prevent the dive mode to start. But this not a solution. I jump into the pool several times a day and have to remember starting an activity every time…

As said, wish Garmin could implement a smarter way dealing with the automatic start of dive mode. There have been several suggestions during the years since the MK1 came out…

So, with the Fenix 8 and the dive feature Garmin has implemented a way to turn off the Automatic start of dive mode. Let’s hope they will do that on the next sw update on the Mk3i as well. A long for wated feature…

Would be nice to have but as these devices are for different use I would not expect to see this function on Descent.

Comparing to different parts of this forum where people are asking for auto stop walk activity when they start to drive or similar requests I could imagine here people complaining about not auto start diving because they changed settings and forgot about it ;)
