Tried new battery, old one was listed as good, tried opening the dive app, connect app, syncing the watch, checking for update, removing the battery, waiting some time, removing the transmission several times. Never got any prompt or anything, the firmware version stays at 2.61 and from what I read on the forums the latest is 2.66. Garmin oficial page was not updated since 2.50-2.60 version. The question is how is it possible one so simple task to be so hard to achieve? Is there a normal way to trigger the update or it is totally up to luck and at some point eventually it will happen? Already did several dives and so far it didn’t, I assume if the new battery gets good I won’t get it even, as it needs totally new battery, so how many times I should try new battery?
