Hi.
Fenix/Epix just got new software.
Could somebody from Garmin stuff give us a hint, when we might expect firmware update with these updates on Descent MK3??
Regards.

Nice question i was have the exact thought the same yesterday, i want to buy Descent mk3 but i observe Descent series takes slow updates
I have nothing against slower updates, especially that Descent is more risky to update as your life might rely on it.
I also have Fenix 7 and know how it might be with software BETA version.
But still, it will be nice to have general info about updates plans.
Yes i understand what you say but some latest features of fenix 7 must be on descent series also and not after months. For example the latest update and the flashlight feature (double click on left bring power of flashlight) is an excellent feature.
Feature you have mentioned is already on MK3i, just checked.
My interest is more to know, will Garmin follow Fenix line updates on Descent and we might expect quarterly FW updates, updates will follow different schedule or they will just push them when will be ready.
Thanks i didn't know that. I agree on what you say
didn't you update to 15.62? it is almost a month already the power adjustment on flashlight being displayed upon turning it on. it is kind of hard to miss
check my first reply to this post.
This has been a weak argument since the original MK1 came out. Skydiving is just as risky as scuba diving, if not worse. But they include watches with the jumpmaster app in beta updates. Garmin has a very weak Dive division, hence why they have to say the computer may not provide accurate information when you first turn it on.
I think it is not a issue with data accuracy but with certification process.
For Fenix 7 PRO and Epix PRO ECG function is not available during BETA tests, Tactix 7 has no BETA software available even if Fenix 7 and Tactix 7 share the same software.
I suppose an update is irrelevant if the watch is doing everything you are interested in. Sometimes an update wrecks something you have been using for a long time (ski app). So if the watch is working well for you, you don't need an "update".
