Hello Garmin team,
are you able to set up a way to transmit dive log data into official diving apps (e.g. SSI). Or is there a kind of workaround to do this?
Thank you!

I would love to get that feature back! This is, for my point of view, a strong argument for the garmin Divecomputers to get the Data not only in the Garmin app but in the SSI Database to!
it's quite annoying they even have that distinction main and non-main sports. actually kind of stupid as descent is mainly diving device hence it should be main sport by default.
Still waiting on this feature. Please add this to our dive watches. I love my Garmin dive log but some of us like to keep our dive log on other systems as well. Don’t make us choose the dive watch is awesome…
Very nicely done. Works well.
would love to get this feature back.
Me too. Garmin-Laurie are you hearing us? :)
Me too.
The website with the converter mentioned on the previous page seems to be still working. Are you having problems using it?
No, it works perfectly well and it's amazing how much effort people put into those things just because Garmin is getting more and more arrogant closing their ecosystem for anyone else.
But back to your question: It works and it seems the best solution for now, but I imagine my self on vacation having to export a fit file to go to a website to import it again and then do additional changes to the imported data (vs. an already working function which got disabled again).
And don't get me wrong: I love Garmin and own their body-scale, multiple watches, the Blood-Pressure device, a heartrate-strap and I am updating all devices as soon at the release a new piece of hardware. But I am still convinced that this ecosystem could be opened up to the world... at least in one direction (to get data out of Garmin into other systems).

Not sure what you are referring to, since I do not observe anything like that. Oppositely, I'd tell that Garmin's ecosystem is one of the most opened to 3rd parties. Not only they allow manual import of a wide range of data, but they do support hundreds of 3rd party apps, services, and devices through a number of their API's ( https://developer.garmin.com/ ). And then, their SDK's for the FIT file data exchange ( developer.garmin.com/.../ ), and for the the Connect IQ apps ( developer.garmin.com/.../ ) allow 3rd parties such a tight integration with Garmin ecosystem, that I do not see at any other Garmin's competitor. You cannot blame Garmin that some of the 3rd parties are unwilling to use the APIs and SDKs for integrating their own ecosystems with the one of Garmin. Hundreds of them did it successfully.
Hey trux,
Thanks for taking the time to reply in that detail: It's very nice to hear what you say. I can only judge from my past experience (unfortunately only from an end-user perspective as I am not a developer) and I saw it a bit differently:
E.g. the above situation was a solution from SSI but then Garmen "closed" this gap as they don't alow SSI anymore to grab the data from their ecosystem. Another example is my Peloton bike. Garmin doesn't allow Peloton to Sync with their device so I need to use a 3rd party interface which needs me to provide my credentials from both vendors (Garmin and Peloton) and then manually create records based on the data which Peloton stores). Interestingly there are a lot of interfaces from those vendors to the Apple ecosystem but not to Garmin. I also can't sync Garmin with Google Health with all the data which my Garmin devices generate.
But again, it's great to hear that it might be a very biased view.
So maybe just a generic question regarding the above project: Would you say it's possible that a developer could build an interface to some spreadsheet which lists all Garmin activities of the type "Dive" like here:
Because then it would be easy to auto-build all the refering QR-codes per line-item dynamically and I wouldn't need to export fit-files and load them to another site to get the QR-code
The thing is that the API is closed.. Garmin is NOT open on that Topic. At least this is what SSI is saying about that
"Garmin wants to focus on their main sports and therefore no longer offers an interface for the non-main sports (such as flying, motorsports, horseback riding, diving)."

Not exactly the same format, but you get most of it in the built-in CSV export at https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activities?activityType=diving&activitySubType=single_gas_diving
Garmin doesn't allow Peloton to Sync with their device
This is what Garmin tells about Peloton: Do Garmin Watches Work With Peloton Bikes? | Garmin Customer Support
However, there are several cycling apps that do sync their activities to Garmin, using their API (i.e. Zwift, Rouvy, TrainerRoad, ...), so I'd tell there is nothing that prevents Peloton from doing the same.
