Not updating to System Software 19.10

I have been running all the betas since System Software 16.70, currently on 18.80 as reported by the watch.

Problem is that Garmin Connects claims the Syatem Software still being 16.70, and does not offer any updates to 19.10.

Anything I can do to force the update?

  • Beta are a manual update only. Garmin express will only ever display the last official firmware. It never displays betas.
19.10 roll out looks to have been halted due to issues. See other threads. When the issue is fixed and it rolls out again you’ll have to wait your turn as Garmin push it to devices in batches.

  • Hummm.. that's strange, my Aviator auto updated to 19.10 2 days ago when I connected to my PC / Garmin Connect... Seems to be working fine.

  • That’s a completely different product with completely different software and firmware. Search the forum

  • Huh?  Confused.  You posted in the Marq forum, that 19.10 has issues and was halted.  I replied and said it appeared on my Marq Aviator 2 days ago, and is currently installed with no seen issues.   So, what is your point? (not trying to be sarcastic, just truly not understanding).

  • Apologies. Assumed it was another product. 19.10 has been halted completely across all Fenix platform watches (Fenix, Marq, Enduro and Tactix) by the looks of things. The roll out began 8 days ago aThumbsup was halted at 10% the following day supposedly due to issues with it. Nobody really knows as Garmin haven’t commented. But there are lots of posts/ threads complaining about it. My Fenix 6 Pro is sThumbsupll on 16.70. A few people (10% of the global customers) got it before they stopped rolling it out. It’s on the sticky for each watch specific forum. Thumbsup

  • Ah!  Thanks for that update.  Interesting.  Now, I understand.  Wow, so I guess I just sit tight and they will re-send a new version in the future?  lol.  I am one of the very few who got it.  So far so good, but admittedly I don't use many of the functions.  Prob. not worth going back to 16.70 assuming nothing else happens.
