Why Marq battery life doesn’t last as long as fenix 6X?

It’s quite disappointing to note that fenix 6X goes for 21 days without charge but new Marq Expedition for only 12 days. Even if fenix is slightly larger, the difference should have been less and its premium model.

Why does it not last as long Fenix 6X Pro?

  • I'm out of the country so I'll check when I get back next week but I'm pretty sure its a plug in.  I don't think you tried searching that well.  Search ali express for "garmin watch battery" or something similar and you will plenty of results (first one using that search term is the one with the 170001A model - 3.8v 255mah).  The model number itself doesnt work for searching but you can check it in pictures.   The 5s plus seems to have the same battery (and probably others.).  Good luck.

  • Thanks for clarifications, you were right, I could find a few with these specifications. I will order one to see how it goes...

  • Cool. Thanks for sharing.

  • I asked some sellers to send me photos for Fenix 5 and Fenix 5X batteries as I thought they are identical in dimensions. Finally, one of them took the trouble to take the shots, and here it is, and, no, it looks like the 5X is surely bigger than the 5 one unfortunately.Fenix 5X battery on the left

  • What I find odd is that based on your battery the code for 255mAh is 170001A when from the photos I received from a seller is 70001A. I could find on aliexpress and ebay others who are like yours, and I ordered 2 from different suppliers, hopefully after they will arrive I could confirm if they are ok or not. BUt surelly we cannot fit in the Fenix 5X ones into the Marq watch.

  • I think it’s wishful thinking to get a 430 mah battery in there but if there is a battery around 340 mah, i bet it would fit.  I don’t think there’s a reason to try unless your battery is already barely holding 4 or so days

  • , hi, I received my Marq battery. before trying to open the watch, do you have any insights for me. I try not to make my watch unusable... :-)

  • I am a chicken! I opened the Marq in an attempt to replace the battery but I could not unplug the old battery from the socket... I will try again if somebody could give me some instructions. I am afraid to break anything there...

What I bought looks to be the real size and specs, just that it is from 2017! So... But anyway, looking forward for some help here.

  • Did you replace the battery? And if so, could you give us an update? Thanks.
