I, Today, Returned My MARQ Explorer & Getting 2nd Fenix 6 Pro, This One In Titanium.

Had it with stupid software issues. Last night it went, inexplicably, into battery saver mode. I also lost 70% of charge in 11-hours. Often, after an activity I would lose my 'ActiFace' watch face and would have to spend 10 - 15 minutes getting it back.

The MARQ was so flaky that I had got a Fenix 6 Pro (Sapphire) 45-days ago -- AS A BACKUP.

Well the F6 is a nicer watch! The display, nice and black -- and much brighter -- makes the MARQ's look washed out.

Last night was the last straw.

Yes, I am lucky. I have a great 'deal' with my supplier. He said 'send it back'. He shipped me a Titanius F6 before I was even finished boxing the MARQ.

Not good.

I am a HUGE Garmin fan. And I am a v. long term Garmin shareholder.

The MARQ was my 6th Garmin.

The F6 was my 7th.

Thanks for your time.

Peace.

Enjoy your MARQs.

  • Thanks you are a very nice person, the truth is probably that you coould not afford a MarqStuck out tongue winking eye

  • they all have issues, including apple - live with it or move on. I don't have as long list as you, but I have 4 current watches and they all have their own bugs and issues.

  • I too returned my Marq. For the price I was unwilling to deal with the software issues & also was not impressed by the build quality of the Marq Athlete. Bought a Fenix 6  for less than half the price & i have all the same features & at this price point I was slightly less annoyed by the software issues.

  • Well, you have a lot of experience with these watches, and kept the MARQ for quite a while despite your issues... kudos for that! The Fenix 6 runs the same base garmin software as the MARQ so you might have issues with it too... time will tell!

so far I have been lucky, all issues were minor or fixed quickly, except the stress levels being more or less squared which is annoying as it makes me doubt the figures.

In any case, you said the F6 feels more robust and well-put-together, could you maybe expand on that, what you mean?
