Expedition Charging Pin discoloration

I noticed yesterday that one of my charging pins is losing the gold color. It seems to me like what we saw in the Fenix series previously. Anyone having the same problem?

And that's because the OP likely places it on charge when wet/dirty as suggested.

FWIW I've never had issues with charging pins on any of the watches I've had since the 935. Clean and dry the watch…

That one is probably the negative pin and chemistry is involved here...

You probably charged it while wet. Try to clean the contacts with alcohol, it is just corrosion.

Wow, it's almost a new watch but the pin lost its colour!..

FWIW I've never had issues with charging pins on any of the watches I've had since the 935. Clean and dry the watch before placing it on charge and it quite likely won't happen again if ever.

Just waiting now to be told by the OP that he always cleans/dries the watch before placing it on charge.

I have never charge the watch while it was wet. I had Fenix watches before and had never seen anything like this. It was purchase back in May.

Well getting a new watch on Monday, downside it won't be an Expedition moving to the Adventurer. Thanks to Garmin support for taking care of me!
