MARQ AVIATOR CONTINUOSLY CRASHING

Good morning,

Last August I bought a Marq Aviator. Since I bought it I have experienced a lot of crashes and in the last week they are continuous. First time it crashed was after a 10h flight as a passenger, when I tried to finish the activity, it began chasing repeatidy until I could reset the watch.

After that It has been crashing several timis every day. Just in the lst two days I got the watch stable, and the difference is that i haven installed any watch face from the connect iq store, something I did the previous occasions. I think crashes are provoqued by installing external watch faces.

¿Any help with this? A 2,000$ watch should allow to install the watch faces i had installes in my previous 5X....

Thanks inadvance.

Eugenio

  • Is the problem because you are trying to install watch faces that are not designed for your Marq Aviator?

  • I dont know if I need specific MARQ Aviator watchfaces or any Fenix % plus watchface should work, I dont think there are specific watchfaces for Marq....

  • Therein lies your problem. If the watch face does not specifically mention that it's been designed for the Marq, then you cannot assume that it will work.

Until such time as the watch face you want has been ported to the Marq specifically, you will need to contact the developer of the watch face and ask them when it will be available.

  • Eugenio, could you keep me updated on this via private message so that I know that you and the developer have talked and that your device is working again too.

  • Hi, all the watchfaces i used are listed in Connect as Marq Aviatios Applications, and it happen to me with several of them. I dont think it's a matter of the developer, but an issue with my specific watch, as apparently nobody else had any trouble with any watch face.

  • Now you're confusing matters as you've previously implied that you were struggling to load watch faces that you had loaded on your 5X.

Perhaps help us by specifically identifying which watch faces you are having problems with.

If your watch is stable without the additional watch faces, then clearly there is a problem with the watch faces.

  • Had similar problems after the last software update, namely with Crystal and Data Lover watch faces. Turning off widget glances and going back to full widget view seems to have fixed the problem - for  the last view days at least...

  •  Could you try this suggestion and let us know if you see any difference?

@Also,  if you turn widget glaces back on, does the issue come back?

Honestly, we have a thread in the fenix 6 forums about things in Connect IQ apps that might be causing issues and the fact that I'm willing to work with the Connect IQ team to look into the issue more. I do not see any reason I could not do it here too.

So for me to report an issue for you with your MARQ and a Connect IQ app, please fill out the information below so that I can easily report it for you and so the issue gets reported correctly.

    1. Which Garmin Connect Apps (watch faces/widgets) are you using?
    2. What are you experiencing? (Slowness, reboots, ...)
    3. What is the best way for us here at Garmin to reproduce your issue? (Install and scroll down, install and turn on, ..)
    4. What is the Unit ID of your device? Main Menu -> System -> About (The serial number too small for me to read, so I will not expect anyone else to read it too but if you want, you can post that too)
    5. Which MARQ do you own?
    6. Can Garmin use the email address attached to your forum account to create a ticket under your name?
    7. If need be, can Garmin access your Garmin Connect account to look for information if there is a need too?
    8. Is there any extra information that Garmin needs to know about this?

I will do my best to check this thread daily.  If I do not reply, do not worry, I will get your information.  Also, once we have a better understanding of this issue and/or do not need any more information on this issue, I will post in this thread.  Also if and when there is a fix in place, I will post in this thread too.

  • Thanks Sanlitun, I'm trying that.
