Battery and sensor connection in Expedition

I have noticed that twice I have started an activity and my cadence sensor, tempe and HRM TRI didn't connect to my watch. I also have noticed that after performing an activity that uses sensors leaves battery consumption at 2% or higher and a reboot is needed to get it lowered. I see that the lowest battery usage now is 1.7% and I was used to seen 0.3~0.4% when not doing any activities. Using beta 3.50 this started around beta 3.34 I think.

I have reporting the same experience to support. They said there wasn't any large scale issue and other people haven't reported this issue. It doesn't affect me often, and after a restart my watch is fine again; but still it shouldn't happen. I suggest you log a support call, and since you're on the beta, I'd also send an email to the beta team to make sure somebody knows this is a real issue.

Report this to the beta team through their channels if you have not already done so. Are you sure this happened before the beta was applied?

Yes it did happen after either 3.34 or 3.40., more incline to think 3.40.

I think I reported the same in the old forum. Had same very issues since I got my Athlete in early May. Sigh!

I got my Expedition back in early May too, but never had a problem until the latest betas.

I'm currently on v. 3.40 (previous production version). Had a 45 minute hour run with GPS and sensors this morning before 6:00. The battery drain has been non-existent since, under 2-3% after more than 10 hours. What I haven't used this time is music and headphones. Not sure if the drain we are seeing is related to music, or something else.

But I think my issue did become somewhat less pronounced on 3.40. Haven't updated to 3.50 yet, so can't say if it made a comeback for me.

I haven't use any music or connected headphones to my Expedition so far.

Out of curiosity, do you use Stryd? I noticed that in May/June my Stryd's battery that usually lasts for weeks was draining in a matter of days. Just when I was having issues with MARQ. So, if you aren't connecting headphones, perhaps it is a footpod that's to blame?

Yes, I do use Stryd but haven't seen any battery drains on my Stryd.
