Not receiving text messages

This is new today. I am receiving every other notification, but have not been receiving text messages on my MARQ Athlete all day. I am on 3.40 software. I have an iPhone and I am running the newly released iOS 13 beta, but that wasn't causing a problem all week up until today. I've restarted my watch, my phone, unchecked bluetooth, unpaired, re-paired. Anyone else experiencing this suddenly?

  • Hi ,

This is a bug in the iOS 13 beta, and Garmin devices are not the only ones impacted by this. While we're waiting on Apple to provide a fix, you can work around this by changing your phone…

  • Its the iOS13 beta, nothing wrong with your MARQ Athlete.

Not sure why you even posting and complaining here. Obviously it was working just fine while you were on 12.3.1 then you upgrade to iOS13 and suddenly notifications stops working or they intermittently don't work or work, your conclusion should be the beta iOS not issue with your watch

  • If you read my post, I stated that I continued to receive text messages this week while on iOS 13 beta. So, for four days nothing changed while being on iOS 13 beta. I guess I could have worded it better, but regardless, it wasn't as soon as I upgraded. I'm not saying it still couldn't be an issue with ios13 beta, but yeah.

  • Thats why I said intermittently working or not working. Just to give you a heads up, its a known issue in public beta 1 and will be fixed either in next week beta 2 release or beta 3

  • OK my point was that it worked for 24 hours a day, four days in a row, up until today. So not really intermittently, but I have no doubt that it could certainly still be a problem with ios13 beta. I know what I signed up for with Apple Beta program haha. Thanks for your responses and info.

  • Developer beta 1 was ok for me. Beta 2 notifications worked for about 4 days. Now I get none. The problem is iOS13, not the watch.

  • I tried to post, but made an error so will try again. I have an iPhone XS and do not use beta software on the phone, watch, or other devices. I read rkrichter2's remarks with great interest because they mirror mine.

  • I should have written that rkrichter2's experiences mirror the ones that I am having with my watch.

  • Notifications are now working for me with iOS 13 B3

  • OK thank you for this info. I'm only on public beta, not developers so I look forward to this when the public beta is released. I guess I should have known from the start it was likely the iOS beta software. Thanks again for everyone for everyone's responses and info.

  • Hi ,

This is a bug in the iOS 13 beta, and Garmin devices are not the only ones impacted by this. While we're waiting on Apple to provide a fix, you can work around this by changing your phone's settings for Notifications - Show Previews - to "Always." (Having this setting on "When Unlocked" is causing the problem.)

    I hope that helps!

    Thanks,
