MARQ Aviator crashing / restarting

Greetings community,

I am having an issue with my new MARQ Aviator, just over a week old. Previously I owned a Delta / Charlie so I am familiar with the interface and functionality.

Here is the issue:

When using Navigate - > Flight Planning - > Find Waypoint - > Search by Ident.

After entering an airport identifier (for example, CYYC or YYC but I also tried many from around the world), the watch immediately restarts and the startup screen is displayed.

No software updates available through Garmin Express. I reinstalled all the maps and reset the watch to defaults, issue persists.

Contacted Garmin support via email, was told it would take 5-10 business days for a reply.

Do I have a defective unit? It would not make sense for a flagship device to be shipped with such a serious software bug.

Could someone kindly try the above on theirs and let me know what happens.

Is the MARQ Aviator not supported by Garmin Aviation? If not, that is a serious strike against the MARQ device as Garmin' Aviation Support group is really quick with support requests, especially if you contact them via business hours and over the phone.

That is a good point. Though judging by the disclaimer "not to be used as primary means of navigation" maybe it isn't.

Yes, I am having the same issue. However, it does not crash if used within the Fly app (Fly app, select navigation under options).

Happened to me on my D2 delta yesterday. It restarted and then I worked

Installed the 3.33 firmware with no resolution for this issue.

Good moring,

I have a Marq Aviator snice August, ans it crasshes continuously. I have detected that this happens if I install any wacth face downloaded from the connect store. His last time I deleted everythign and configurate as new, and in two days I didnt have any crash. IN any case makes no sense that i cannot install watch face to avoid continuous crahses (it crashes and crashes when it restars....).

Any help?
