A word of warning to prospective UK buyers- Jura Watches

I have been experiencing some issues with my new MARQ watch.
Jura Watches are refusing to exchange the watch or refund me. I am being asked to send the watch back for an unknown period of time for it to be "assessed" by Garmin.

I know from experience that this is Garmin's usual way of dealing with this but asking someone to go through this, having bought a product within the last 14 days, is unheard of.
Shame on the retailer and on Garmin for handling issues in this unacceptable way.

I will be reaching out to Citizens Advice to file a complaint and ask for advice.
  • Contact Garmin. I recommend the phone option.
  • Already done- spoke to Garmin Support over the phone.
    I was advised that Garmin can only help troubleshoot software issues. Retailers are to be contacted for hardware problems.
  • What’s their return policy? If it’s within the return period and they refuse to help, then contact your credit card company (laws will vary depending on country and credit card terms) and dispute the charge. I bet when they see a hold on their account for the amount charged, they’ll talk with you then.

    I’ve done this before with companies that acted in an unethical manner.

    What problem are you having? I’m also having problems with my new Marq captain as it will not sync with connect any more even if I delete it and add it again. Called Garmin and they are now looking into log files. Wondering if there is a general issue with the Marq.

  • Just a quick update on my experience and the outcome of my complaint: I worked with Garmin to troubleshoot the problems I was experiencing and ended up getting a very!!! speedy replacement.

    I am really impressed by the way this was handled by Garmin and my only recommendation to the company would be: pick your retail partners right...

  • Nope, no general issue with the MARQ in my opinion.
