Let us share some enthusiasm about this gorgeous watch coming our way.

Here is my story; being an old Omega Seamaster owner, I was actually looking for something alike in quality. I looked at Omega, TAG Heuer and alike. However allthough all these watches are very nice, each and every time I came to the conclusion that I can't live without 24/7 HR and smart notifications. I am a passionate athlete; so I much like to keep track on my resting HR. And that's actually it - none of the premium brands I looked at deliver that.

And then Marq is being launched - just in the middle of my search :-) What a funny coincidence! Cause BOOM - this is just what I was looking for. Mann that was a sweet surprise :-)

Since I am an athlete, I ordered the Marq Athlete version. That watch has exactly what I want. Really nice materials, 3. gen OHR, and smart notifications. Plus add to this - all Fenix' functionallity, a speedier processor and 12 days battery.

Oh yeah!

Despite being expensive - and please don't get me wrong here - I think this is bang on. I don't mind paying premium for premium. Yes - one could argue the display resolution is not high enough. Personally I would have liked to see HD graphics. But honestly said - that's not the deal breaker for me. The materials are though. And this is where I believe Garmin did the right choice. Premium materials with long battery and an OK display.

So I can't wait to get mine :-)

BrianMcMahon74 Out of interest- why buy bother the Athlete/Expedition? Couldn’t make up your mind? :p

I commute by bike most days, usually run a few nights a week and use the home gym so wanted the Athlete for that to replace my Fenix 5X plus. I always liked the look of the Expedition and will keep that for going out and hitting the hills at the weekend. It's a bit like N+1 with bikes I always find an excuse to get another one. I'm sure the wife will kill me one day.

Got a call from Lewis at Jura Watches- my Expedition unit is now with them. I should be getting it before 13.00 tomorrow!!

NYanakiev7 , I’m looking forward to your GPS accuracy test posts of runs around the docks with the tall buildings ;). It’ll be a good test of the new Sony GNSS chip.

Hahaha, you bet! I live on the north side of Canary Wharf now so will, hopefully, get much better results. I look forward to stress testing this thing!

So a large package arrived today from Jura and contained my Athlete edition. Presentation from Jura was exceptional as always the Garmin box was well protected inside Jura's own box. So far first impressions are really positive, not worn it yet as giving it a full charge but the screen is super bright and the build quality is up there with luxury watches. Feels really light in the hand although the box it's supplied in is like a mini safe, super heavy and well built with the magnetic closures on top.

Compared to a few of my Tag's I would have no hesitation in saying that Garmin have knocked it out the park with the build and design. It looks the part and the material feels really good in the hand. Rubber strap suits the watch face and very pleased I ordered this first. So different from a Fenix although the software reminds you it's a Garmin os.ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1475706.jpg

I contacted Jura and my Expedition is getting ship today. Shipping is via Fedex but since I'm in the US I probably won't see it until mid next week. But excited!!!

You won't be disappointed, if the Athlete is this good the Expedition is going to be even better aesthetically. Buttons feel a lot more tactile than the Fenix and flies through settings.

Is the screen more readable, distinct than the Fenix 5 series?
