Let us share some enthusiasm about this gorgeous watch coming our way.

Here is my story; being an old Omega Seamaster owner, I was actually looking for something alike in quality. I looked at Omega, TAG Heuer and alike. However allthough all these watches are very nice, each and every time I came to the conclusion that I can't live without 24/7 HR and smart notifications. I am a passionate athlete; so I much like to keep track on my resting HR. And that's actually it - none of the premium brands I looked at deliver that.

And then Marq is being launched - just in the middle of my search :-) What a funny coincidence! Cause BOOM - this is just what I was looking for. Mann that was a sweet surprise :-)

Since I am an athlete, I ordered the Marq Athlete version. That watch has exactly what I want. Really nice materials, 3. gen OHR, and smart notifications. Plus add to this - all Fenix' functionallity, a speedier processor and 12 days battery.

Oh yeah!

Despite being expensive - and please don't get me wrong here - I think this is bang on. I don't mind paying premium for premium. Yes - one could argue the display resolution is not high enough. Personally I would have liked to see HD graphics. But honestly said - that's not the deal breaker for me. The materials are though. And this is where I believe Garmin did the right choice. Premium materials with long battery and an OK display.

So I can't wait to get mine :-)

What about you? What version did you buy?

  • Think the Athlete is the only one to come with one strap all the rest have two so would be a better option.
  • With what they're charging for the straps individually that's pretty much the price difference between the Athlete and the Expedition.
  • Good news. Anyone able to order from other than Jura?
  • any suggestion on how to pronounce MARQ ?

I've been working with the assumption it's the same as "marque."

    HTH

  • I was able to snatch up a brand new Suunto 9 Baro for £210 the other day. My original intention was to resell it as they retail for around £450 here in the UK but I am starting to ponder over keeping it at the expense of my MARQ Expedition preorder.

The other option is to sell the MARQ and still make some profit due to discount I received upon preordering. Provided there will be a big enough market for it.

    Decisions, decisions..
  • fearing the brexit story, looked at uhrzeit.org instead of jura for the Expedition
3% discount with direct bank transfer
cheaper than jura :o and honest with their dispatch dates

I think it's a bit unfair to accuse Jura of dishonesty - the only reason they were giving delivery dates before anyone else was because of their "first stock" agreement with Garmin and I know they were still expecting the delivery manifest the same week that release got pushed back.

I'm in no way connected to Jura, but, like most people who've had previous dealings with them, will tell you they're "not that type" of company. I just don't think they're used to dealing with technology companies where release dates are fluid right up till the last minute.

  • This just keeps getting pushed back...end of April, best case scenario..

    Hi Nikolay,

Following our telephone conversation, I can confirm I have spoken to the planning team and we can confidently say the first arrival of these units is expected on the 22nd April.

Please note this is a delivery to Garmin and I assume it is a couple of working days before orders to retailers are fulfilled.

I do hope this addresses your concerns.

If there is anything else I can help you with then please let me know.

    Kind regards,

    Sara
