Why only EU dealers and not one US dealer???

Garmin postponed the delivery date to 2nd quarter (well, of course we are in the second quarter already, but for Garmin this usually means end of June :( ).

Garmin UK emailed me back 3 days ago, confirming the following:

"We can confidently say the first arrival of these units is expected on the 22nd April."

If it turns out to be end of June, I will be cancelling my pre-order.

Yes, it is normal for Garmin to delay initial sale beyond original estimates. There have been exceptions, e.g. I remember the Instinct being available fairly soon after announcement, but I also remember waiting months after the fenix 3 announcement for actual delivery.

I was at the Garmin HQ in Olathe last week for the Connect IQ Summit and they had all 5 models on display,. They were secured down so you couldn't pick them up, but they were real devices and you could scroll through the screens and look around.

All I can say, is they are darn nice looking devices in person!

How does the display brightness compare to the fenix 3 or 5 series of watches?
