My Instinct watch is stuck on the saving screen. Anyone know how to help to go back to the regular watch functions? Thanks in advance.

My Garmin Instinct watch has been stuck on the Saving screen since I did my workout this morning and it won't move forward. Can you please advise on what to do. I just went on Garmin Connect to discard a couple months worth of workouts right before I made this email because I was getting your device is almost full messages. Thank in advance for the help. • I am sorry I did not see your post sooner. I hope you have been able to resolve your watch issue since your post. If you still have an issue, you can soft reset your watch to get it to power off by holding down your top left button until your watch shuts off then let go of your button. Once you turn it back on, you may still need to go back to the activity to try to stop the activity and save or discard it.

  • My Instinct watch has also locked up on hiking activity. I cannot get back to the main menu. The back button does not return to the watch face. I have performed a power off with reset using the power on with back button pressed then answer reset to factory default.

    I quit the hiking activity.

I have also force quit the phone app then restarted the app and synched.

Control button gets to the widget menu choices but that does not get to the watch face or the main menu.

I have run out of options.

    Any solution is appreciated.

    Update: I have a solution.

I plugged the watch into the charger. It beeped and displayed a new screen that I have not seen before. When I unplugged the watch from the charger the device has reset and the time face has returned. Weird!

    Hope this helps someone else.

  • I have a solution.

I plugged the watch in the charger and a new screen appeared that I have not seen before.

When I unplugged the watch the watch reset and is back to normal.

    Hope this helps.
