When I am using the Instinct to track my dog.

I get a phone icon in the circle that should show the direction to the dog. This seems to happen when I raise the watch to check the distance and direction to the dog. It comes on and then changes back to the distance. Can this be changed so that the phone icon does not come on

The phone icon is simply letting you know that your phone is out of reach of the low power Bluetooth signal. If your phone is on you, this shouldn't be happening.

The phone is with me. But I probably don't have it connected to the Garmin connect app. I will try and have the watch connected to the phone the next time and see if that makes a difference. Thank you for the help.
