Solar Instinct Shutting off

Clearly from looking at this forum there is a systemic issue with the Instinct Solar shutting off when it receives a notification. This has made the watch basically unusable. I'm sure they will tell me to "contact support", I have tried and not received any response, I really liked the product when i first got it, it's a shame that it was not built to last and clearly has a systemic defect.

I’ve been dealing with this going on 4 years now. 3 replacements and now I need to do it again. I love the watch but…..

I have found the solution while scraping though the entire known internet.

Turn off Vibrate. This fixes the issue.

MENU button ( long press)

ABC button to SETTINGS : GPS button to enter menu

ABC button to system : GPS button to enter menu

ABC button to SOUNDS : GPS button to enter menu

TURN OFF VIBRATE

Also in the widgets TIME - ALARM set the VIBRATE function off, use sound only.

Obviously there is something wrong with the firmware that's causing this, but lets face it, Garmin is not going to fix it.

Nico is that only for alarms or for all alert functions?

It's only my morning alarm that causes the shut-down. I have other alarms during the day, that don't seem to effect the devices operation.

Could it have something to do the "sleep" widget or "do not disturb"?
