Instinct Solar, serial 6LC000447, firmware 19.01
I have noticed that the barometer, altimeter and thermometer work in solution, but do not seem to work together.
For example, real life, ride bike or walk at the same sea (river) level altitude with increase in the temperature from the dawn into the afternoon is interpreted as a 250m hill climb.
I dont know if it is me and the settings I use but I wonder if the altimeter can calibrate better using satellite maps (ie a known triangulation point with known fixed altitude), against a measure barometric pressure from the nearest weather station, and then with temperature compensation for future readings.
I do have the settings for altimeter on auto calibration and for "barometer AND altimeter", but it seems to be the lack of temperature compensation that messes everything up.
The other thing that I noticed - I bumped into a friend with an Instinct Solar 2 - looked like a good few extra fitness metric available with that watch such as HRV and training load, is there any reason why these cannot be added to Instinct Solar (I), along with the rather smart crash/fall detection like with the forerunners - please!
Thank you
