The treadmill activity not working properly

Weird situation today while trying to use my new instinct solar while running on a treadmill I usually run for two hours every day and I record on my Apple watch between 6 to 8 miles depending on my speed Today I noticed that while I was running/walking on the treadmill my Garmin watch was not showing any pace at all and therefore the mileage was not increasing I ran for 2 hours and it only recorded .14 miles, impossible - the treadmill showed 6.5 miles,  I read that I may need to caliber the watch but I have to run at least 1.5 miles How can I calibrate if during two hours only recorded .14 miles Any ideas This is a brand-new watch.

  • How can I calibrate if during two hours only recorded .14 miles?

1 mile is sufficient for the calibration, so you only need to run a bit over 7 miles Slight smile. Another option is soft-resetting the watch, and trying again. A master-reset to the defaults would help too, because the calibration is being offered at the first treadmill run without the distance limitation, I believe (not 100% sure though).

And another tip - move you arms stronger during the run. It will push the accelerometer to deliver higher pace and distance data to the watch, hence you will reach the limit quicker. And if you want it more accurate than from the accelerometer of the watch, get an external sensor such as the HRM-Pro, RD Pod, Stryd, or the treadmill speed sensor Runn.
