Roll back firmware?, crash during activities.

During hiking activity the save function results in crash. During run pressing lap crashes device.

Same as all the others reporting this issue.

Are there steps to apply old firmware via Garmin connect?

Search the Instinct forum for Beta firmware threads, and install the rollback firmware from it. Instructions are included in the Readme file in the package. Each new Beta package contains a folder with the last stable firmware.
