Alt time zones

I need UTC on the small bottom part of the watchface. So I select Iceland and rename it to utc. The question is will this time zone I selected going to observe dst for whenever Iceland observes it? Or is dst determined differently? Will my renamed utc 0000 time zone always be just utc?

Renaming the TZ has no effect on the DST, hence Iceland's DST will be indeed observed. See some info in the document: Alternate Time Zones on Garmin Watches | Garmin Customer Support

I do not have my old Instinct 1st gen anymore, but on the Instinct 2 I can select UTC. I do not remember whether the TZ functionlity was identical on the old model, but on the current watch, I have to select the region first, and then there is a choice of the city. The UTC "region" is just between South America and Europe, and unlike at all the other regions, there in no sub-selection for cities - you get directly the pure UTC (without DST).

I had a instinct solar tactical and got a way better deal in just the instinct solar. The tactical had utc/Zulu but I dont see that on the instinct solar. I need just utc.

I was reading that Iceland doesn't observe dst, so maybe that is an acceptable solution to rename it?
