“First gen” instinct not getting notifications that newer instinct does.

I have a “first gen” instinct and I do not receive notifications from a couple of apps that my coworkers do with newer instinct. I have tried changing settings with no results. Any ideas?

The Notification Center option was the only setting difference I had not tried. Turning that on worked. Something so simple. Thank you for the help.

Hard to advise if you do not reveal what notifications, from which apps, and on which OS (Android / iOS?).

Apps are - First Due & ActiveAlert

They are firefighter incident alert apps.

Sounds like standard notifications then. Additionally, on iOS, Garmin Connect does not have per-app settings like on Android. So I do not quite believe it has anything to do with having Instinct instead of instinct 2. Rather it comes from some difference between the settings on your iPhone, and on the phones of your colleagues. More specifically, the notifications setting of the concerned alert apps. Go to iOS settings » Notifications » concerned alert app, and verify the notifications are enabled, and that the option Notification Center is enabled too.
