My Instinct died on me in mid workout this morning. I thought GPS was disabled automatically, and cannot figure out why the battery would deplete so quickly. How can I ensure that GPS is disabled, unless I explicitly enable it? Thank you in advance.

Is GPS automatically used for outdoor
activities or can that be disabled? Or does that defeat the purpose when recording activities?

GPS is disabled unless you are in an outdoor activity using the GPS, or have the GPS screen open, but there it times out after a relatively short time and goes back to the main screen, turning the GPS…
