So, unfortunately, I need to buy another watch. Absolutely love the Garmin Instinct however, it's far inferior to Fitbits. I've had my Garmin Instinct for about 7 months now and according to my watch I've logged approximately 5-10 minutes of deep sleep each night. The duration of my sleep seems spot on, but Garmin's sensors/software cannot determine when I've entered deep sleep. When I had/wore my Fitbits I averaged 1 hour to 1h 15m of deep sleep each night. The instinct fails at this aspect of health tracking horribly. Time to go watch shopping again. Will never buy a Garmin fitness watch again. If I was only getting 10 minutes of deep sleep a night I wouldn't be living very long.
