Fenix 3 HR - Custom Stride Length

I've been trying to get the correct custom stride length set. I thought I had it set up correctly for my stride but it needed a little tweak. So I entered new distance and steps taken to get the new stride length in settings. Nothing changed on distance walked (indoors). So I changed step to double my stride length. This did nothing, distance I actually walked, for the same number of steps remained the same. Doubling my stride length should have greatly changed the distance I walked.

Why isn't a new set of values in the custom stride length being used? The stride number changed, in settings, but the distance walked is based on the old vales, it should have doubled.

Any insight would be appreciated.

NOTE: Setting a custom stride length will only impact your calculated step distance. Your custom stride length does not have any effect on the distance recorded for timed activities.

The GPS feature is used to calibrate the step length for running activities. If the step distance for indoor running activities is still inaccurate after having done several outdoor running activities with GPS, then the device may not be accurately counting steps.
